Quick Overview
Examination of patients of cataract in predilated and postdilated pupil by torch light and slit lamp is very important. In every case silt lamp is the most important tool to see the patient in detail. This book will help to see the cases in Gross view, Slit view and Retroillumination. Gross view will give overall idea about anatomy and size of the eye, conjunctiva, cornea, anterior chamber, iris, pupil, pupillary reaction, and stage of cataract. Slit view will be helpful to see layers of every structure in oblique illumination. Most important in this examination is status of the cornea, anterior chamber depth, details of iris, pupil, curvature of anterior capsule, all layers of the lens means anterior capsule, cortex, epinucleus, nucleus, and posterior capsule.
Key Features
• Written in straightforward, clear, lucid and easy-to-grasp language.

• Most unique thing about slit lamp photography of cataract cases is to see correlation between anatomy of the lens and surgical steps.

• The book contains only slit lamp photographs of cataract.

• Photographs will give idea about how to examine every case and presume the difficulties before start of surgery so that surgeon will be ready to tackle the case with perfect mind-set.

• Surgeon can start and finish the cases with minimum complications which mean safe surgery with better visual outcome.

• In our practice we purchase costly Phaco machines, femtosecond laser and different varieties of instruments for cataract but we ignore basic science and concepts about the subject. I think this book is of its unique kind which makes surgeons very comfortable to start the surgery in conceptual and scientific way.

• Book will be a guide to all postgraduates and surgeons who are in practice of Phaco surgery.

• Helpful to optometrists, ophthalmic assistants and paramedical people who are concerned with cataract surgery.
Target Audience
The book will be helpful to all doctors of undergraduate, postgraduate level, for surgeons who started cataract surgery and for those who are already in the field of cataract surgery for sometime. The book will also be helpful to optometrists and paramedical people who are concerned with cataract surgery.
