The last decade has witnessed a plethora of drugs that are routinely being injected into the eye. Soon, the most common surgical procedure being carried out would be intraocular/intravitreal injections and, perhaps, the most commonly repeated procedure a patient would undergo. Hence, it was appropriate that a guide be provided based on current evidence available today. This multi-authors book attempts to address each of the intraocular agents, the technique of injections, complications and recommendations. A chapter on what lies in-store for us as medical retinologists for treating our patients, is also included. The arrival of enzymatic vitreolysis is an attempt to do away with vitreous surgery and make retinal surgery simpler, is also discussed.
