This is a video review of the physical exam and bedside tools relevant in clinical cardiology. It consists of four modules, covering the physical exam pertinent to pathology of the heart and the fundamental principles and applications of EKG and echocardiography.

The intent is to provide physicians the principles behind the cardiovascular physical exam, EKG, and echocardiography in a comprehensive and concise manner.

The audience is medical students, resident physicians, and paramedical personnel with the goal of presenting the diagnostic utility of the physical exam as well as the technical aspects of recording an EKG and performing an echocardiogram.

The four modules, presented on separate CDs, encompass the different aspects of bedside cardiology. The first covers the general physical exam and the specific examination of the precordium. The second module presents specific exam findings, namely heart sounds and murmurs, and features audiovisuals so users can appreciate the subtle nuances of cardiac auscultation. The third module is dedicated to the technique of recording and interpreting an EKG, while the fourth demonstrates the proper technique of performing an echocardiogram along with basic interpretation.
