The goals of this book are to clearly describe the indications for surgery, provide appropriate surgical techniques, present tips for achieving good results, and offer an extensive case-based discussion on how to manage select complications. Whereas many other texts have given a more exhaustive review of the historical literature as well as basic principles of fracture management (including nonoperative management), we have chosen to go directly to the surgical management of fractures and their complications.
