REVIEWER'S EXPERT OPINION

L'Tanya Joy Bailey, DDS, MS(Private Practice)

Description

This is a wonderful, heavily illustrated synopsis of the many anatomical landmarks in cephalometry.

Purpose

The purpose is to discuss cephalometry and its use in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. This comprehensive review of all of the landmarks is very much needed because there are so many different cephalometric analyses and points.

Audience

he book may be used with dental students, but is more appropriate for orthodontic residents and orthodontic practitioners who have more expertise in this area.

Features

The exceptional quality of the book is its comprehensive review of all the analyses and the landmarks, as well as the numerous illustrations. There is even a section on 3D imaging. The book uses glossy color images that make you feel you are looking at a real digital image and not a copy.

Assessment

This would be a nice addition to any orthodontist's library. All the cephalometric analyses and landmarks are discussed and described. The illustrations are outstanding.
